Jennifer Lopez and My Mother
Normally, these are two things that do NOT associate with each other but . . .
Jlo’s recently been getting some death threats and it got me thinking about my mother (not the death threats - what kind of a daughter do you think I am? Not this close to mother’s day, anyway!). The threats came from the good people at PETA because, like my dear old mum, Mrs. Marc Anthony loves fur. The real kicker though is the earrings she was wearing in the accompanying photos: silver flowers blooming from her ear! And, just this past Monday, I ordered a similar pair of gold flower earrings for Mother’s day off diamondharmony.com!
See, Mom? Now will you trust me when I tell you that a dress makes you look a little hip-py?

Samantha - You’re a better daughter than I am a son. I sent my mom actual flowers. She loved them, she said, but she probably would have prefered they were made of gold.
But I have to say, re: the JLO story - take it easy, PETA. I’m anti-fur myself but it doesn’t help win converts when you throw around the, “agree with me or die!” argument.
