Consistently chic, Halle is clad in an aubergine baby doll dress – a style she’s favored all summer, one which can accommodate some weight gain were she to be with child! Obscuring her midsection, as per usual, we are none the wiser as to whether or not Halle and her Berry gorgeous beau Gabriel Aubry are impending parents!

One thing is for sure, though – Halle’s hallmark exquisite taste is not to be outdone. Not overly done, either – this simple dress packs a powerful punch of color, accessorized by some yellow gold pieces including deco-inspired earrings and lightly layered gold bracelets – a simple stackable gold bangle paired with a gold heart charm bracelet (perhaps given to her by Gabriel?).

Music has always been the soundtrack to my life – I’m rarely without it. I’ve run the gamut of MP3 players, and ultimately the criterion of functionality takes precedence over flash. The latter seems to be the consensus with regard to these items, so one wonders if the ratio of supply will exceed the demand.

The tradition of the promise ring dates back many years to a time during which the price of gold was prohibitive, so when things got serious, a woman was given a silver ring to pledge the promise of things to come. Upon marriage, the sterling silver ring was replaced with a gold band. The tradition continues, today, with the contemporary version of the promise ring – typically comprised of a thin gold band, with a delicate stone (euphemism for barely visible to the naked eye!), it is a sweet gesture, a sentiment usually reserved for that particular brand of young love with questionable longevity!

Your tea will be only as good as the water with which you brew it. Filtered, or spring water are always superior to tap water.

Wait until the water is near boiling, then pour a little into a teapot and swirl it around. This warms the pot so that it is at an optimum temperature for holding the tea. Empty the pot.

To the warmed teapot add one tea bag in the pot for each cup – preferably, a diamond-studded tea bag!

When the water in the kettle has reached a rolling boil, pour it in the pot and allow the tea to steep for three to five minutes.

With a price tag in excess of $15,000.00, this diamond-studded delight was auctioned off at a fundraiser for children’s charities in the UK. I wonder if it is sitting pretty in a cabinet, sparkling among delicate porcelain tea pots, or was it used to brew the perfect pot of chari-tea?

Looking awesome clad in a champagne-hued satin tulle dress, Nicole Kidman puts in an appearance at the White Tie Dinner – a fundraising event for the White Ribbon Foundation whose mission is to raise awareness of violence against women.

Trendy layered chains accentuate without overpowering her overall look. Dash of premium dry vermouth
½ cup premium vodka, frozen
Lemon wedge for garnish

To a chilled cocktail glass, pour the dry vermouth over the vodka. Twist the lemon wedge over the drink. Run the lemon wedge around the Rim of the glass.

Optional: Add some nice ice for the ultimate in Diamond-tini!

I enjoyed the company of friends over the weekend – sitting outside on the deck under a canopy of clear blue sky, a cacophony of bird song in the background, and watching the ripples in the surrounding water created in the wake of passing boats. This underscored life’s simple but tranquil pleasures.

When our hostess served us Diamond-tinis I forgot for a moment my pastoral surroundings and visualized the glint not of the sun sparkling off the rim of my glass, but a sizeable diamond nestled in the bottom, blinding me with it’s light.
