Charlize Theron Strutts Her Plumage!
Charlize Theron looks statuesque in this stunning dress which combines an almost electric metallic bodice with layers of organza fabric for the ultimate in plumage! She is strutting her stuff at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of her latest film “In The Valley Of Elah”.The film, which includes a cast of A-list actors –Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon among them, features Theron in the role of police detective Emily Sanders, who works to discover the truth behind the disappearance of a soldier following his return from a tour of duty in Iraq.
Theron, recently engaged to her long term boyfriend Stuart Townsend, whose visibility in this decidedly different dress (eliciting such descriptors as “Big Bird”, and “feather duster”), and topical nature of the film in which she starred, created quite a stir. Like it, or not (the dress, that is — and I do!), one thing is for sure – choice of dress notwithstanding, carefully chosen accessories including a simple pair of diamond stud earrings and a diamond bracelet are undisputed jewelry staples!

She is so gorgeous. I like the top half of the dress, but I’m not a big fan of the mermaid look on the bottom half. And you’re Right On with the jewelry!!

Hi Alex! I’ve always wanted to wear something “mermaid” at least once in my lifetime — that’s the thing, though — a dress like that wouldn’t have much occasion to be worn, so I’ve refrained. But, you never know! Jewelry, for sure! You can’t go wrong with that, never have to much, and can always pass it down.

The first time I saw her I was in OMG land. I fell in crush immediately.
Any movie with Susan Sarandon in it HAS to be annoyingly political.
What’s a diamond bracelet like that set a guy back, anyway?!

Jon — you and Sharon fall in crush a lot! LOL Yes, I think this movie is bound to be politically charged, given the context.
Those diamond bracelets are available in all price points on www.diamondharmony.com in the tennis bracelet selections. They’re very classic and beautiful! Actually, to me, they are intoxicating and that’s not hyperbole!
BTW — I don’t think the “contact” is working on your blog. I’ve tried, to no avail.

I have always been a big fan of Charlize. Not only for the fact that she always looks so classy and fashionable, she is an outstanding actress.
I *love* the dress. So few can really pull it off. And I was so glad to hear that the bottom part is organza. You know how much I hate those feather dresses.

Hi Sharon! I know, those feathers are not your “flight of fancy”! The dress is so dramatic, and you’re right — few can pull it off. Hence they should not put it on. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

It’s so true, but it’s not my fault. It’s that my standards are so low!
Just kidding
I can understand why you would think that they’re intoxicating. It’s awesome then that you blog about something of which you’re passionate.

Dare I enquire as to your celeb crush du jour?
I really do find diamonds intoxicating. They’re also quite the metaphor don’t you think?
