Katherine Heigl Leads A Charmed Life!
Katherine Heigl looked stunning at the recent Emmys. She was both a presenter and a winner, receiving an emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series in the role of Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy.
Wearing a gorgeous Zac Posen white fishtail gown with glamour reminiscent of old style Hollywood sirens, her accessories are playful and consistent with the fabric of which the gown is constructed. Would you believe it is made of denim? I absolutely love the use of this otherwise casual, heavy duty fabric for evening wear. Layered bangles, chunky bead bracelets, a jeweled bag and over sized hoop earrings with dangling charms complete her look.
I’m partial to hoops and love the option of adding earring charms to create an entirely different look. Casual by day, your hoops can be instantly transformed for either a more polished or an elegant look with the simple addition of earring charms.
Take a peek at those which I found via Diamond Harmony!
These 14K White Gold Diamond Bezel Earring Charms have an estate jewelry look and would be perfect to add a touch of tasteful elegance to a simple pair of white gold hoop earrings.
If you like mixing your precious metals, Two Tone Gold Rope Tear Drop Diamond Earring Charms can take either your plain white or yellow gold hoops to new heights.
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to lead a “charmed life”, too!

Yeah, i was very surprised to hear that that dress was made of Denim. I didn’t see the show and only saw pics online, though. I thought it was so beautiful, but denim? I don’t know about that.
The earrings are awesome, too!!!
Too bad you missed GG and ANTM, but you haven’t missed much. Tune in this week and we can discuss!!

Oops! Excuse my stupidity. I am “multi-blogging” and getting confused. I hate when I have too many tabs open.
What I MEANT to say, was thanks for reading that interview. Those were some totally weird questions, some of the REALLY weird ones he didn’t even post–thank god. I guess he could tell from my response that I was a little freaked out! lol.
Anywho…

Hi Alex! You’re welcome — it was fun. He’s quite a character and didn’t pose really mundane questions!
When I found out the dress was denim it appealed to me even more — to give a casual fabric an elegant spin was unusual and consistent with her accessories which were sort of playful too. She won’t need rugged fabric to get mileage out of a dress worn only one. If she doesn’t want it, I’ll take it.
Actually, there *is* a store in LA (can’t recall the name) that sells celeb “cast offs”!
I’m wanting those earring charms now.

She looks like Connie Nielsen’s baby sister.

Jon — you have a sharp eye. She does look like Connie. Her face is fuller than Connie’s, but there is a lot of similarity in the eyes.
No comments on how positively charming she looked?

Is it just me that doesn’t know who Connie Nielsen is? I must be loosing it. Or perhaps all these good medication that the doctors gave me.
I think that in order to make a splash at a red carpet event, you have to be different. Why do you think there was so much talk about the dress? Denim is fantastic when it’s made into a dress and the minimalistic effect of the makeup and the hoops were a great contrast.
She’s so gorgeous.

Hi Sharon! Connie Nielsen was in several episodes of “Law and Order”, and many movies. I think she was dating the drummer from Metallica for a while! An odd couple, given she’s quite sophistocated.
I continue to look at that dress. I think it’s awesome. I’m so into anything denim for comfort. Would love to have a formal dress made of it!

Katherine Heigl is the most beautiful woman alive and her look was just amazing. I was astouned when she said it was made of denim. Her jewellry is done by Ryan Ryan.

Hi Claire! Yes, she is a real beauty. I, too, was amazed to hear it was denim. Wonder if we’ll be seeing a lot more of it incorporated into evening wear.
