Mariah Looks Marvelous In Casual Chic

Mariah Carey, shown above, was at the Glendale Galleria as part of the launch of her signature fragrance M by Mariah Carey. Fans were able to meet and greet Mariah, and were treated to the special perk of M’s autograph if they purchased a special edition combo consisting of 3.3 oz. EDP parfum spray, a 6.8 oz body lotion and a luxurious parfum replica complete with an elegant dabber.
Of course fans got the added benefit of being able to gauge Mariah’s casual chic — a look pulled together with a pair of jeans, a black cami, cropped sweater, and of special interest to those of us who understand that no outfit is complete without the addition of some jewelry items – her gold Pavé hoops and the all important and so au currant, layered gold chains.

Glittery 18K Yellow Gold Pavé Hoop Earrings are a must have! Pavé is so popular and showing up in bracelets, earrings, necklaces and rings on those with the most discerning fashion sense.
Why is Pavé immensely popular? When stones are placed so closely together, the result is the ultimate in sparkle. Widely used in antique pieces, Pavé has made a comeback on a grand scale and makes each piece a Pièce de résistance.

She’s looking great and I love the layered chain effect, especially since her choice of clothing is otherwise casual. Pave is awesome, isn’t it? I’m thinking of getting my Mom a pair of pave earrings for Christmas. All those little glittering stones come together to form such a beautiful sparkly effect.
Have you tried the Mariah scent? I saw it in a store recently. I think they brought a lot of stock in for the holidays. It’s pretty packaging.

Pave is so beautiful. You really have to add only one piece or wear one piece at a time it’s so glitzy! Those earrings are a knock out. I want them!

She’s looking hot. I like her look and I’ve always liked her. I thought for a while she was all washed up but she did a great job of a come back. My Mom had a lot of gold chains she used to wear in the late 70’s early 80’s before chunky came back bigtime. She gave me some of those and I’m adding to them for layering.

Hi Beau! I love pave too. That sort of little pebbling of the small diamonds and the resultng sparkle really does it for me! I did try Mariah’s scent. It’s very different. Not cloying at all. As with any scent, it’s nicest a while after it’s absorbed into the skin. Your Mom will love receiving pave earring for Christmas. Who wouldn’t?
Hey Lori — I agree that one really nice pave piece at a time avoids overdoing it. A pair of statement earrings or a pendant look lovely. I want those earrings too. I love them! They looked to me to be the same ones Mariah is wearing in the pic, upon close examination.
Hello Bella! Thanks for dropping by. It’s nice you have some chains from your Mom on which to build a collection. I like the layering with a mix of links. It’s such a fun look and not heavy in weight or appearance.
Mariah does look wonderful and seems to have transcended the “obstacles” she encountered a while back!

I love those gold necklaces. So simple, yet chic. Mariah can be very classy sometimes!
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving, Samantha!

Hey Alex! Nice to “see” you. Yes, Mariah can be classy, for sure, particularly when she ceases to wear dresses that provide less coverage than some wide belts! LOL The layered necklaces *are* really simple chic. They’re so much fun to wear, aren’t they?
I did have a great holiday, and hope you did, too. Alex!

Hmmm… quite opposite of her period 2 years ago when I would have easily locked myself inside with her for 2 months, I find I’m not attracted to her anymore. Apparently I am as fickle as I imagined.
However, It is nice to see her features soften as she matures, the exact opposite of what I thought was coming.
Oh yeah . . . the hoops look great.

Jon — her features *have* softened. I think she looks better than ever. As for no longer being attracted to her, I’m sure you’d think differently if she came a calling! You, fickle? Surely you jest.
The hoops are brilliant. Yet another item you may want to jot down on your list of potential gifts for the woman in your life!

A pave piece is always much more approachable than a piece that relies on very large diamonds.

I almost didn’t recognize Mariah all layered up….. And if you really think about it, she really does casual chic justice. I just love the earrings and the necklaces she’s wearing.

Hi Wendy — the nice thing about pave is that it packs a powerful “punch” with a minimal outlay. More “approachable” for sure. Thanks for dropping by!
Hey Sharon! I know what you mean — Mariah is “layered up” and more fully clothed than usual. It’s nice to see her style is maturing and is, IMHO, much more classy. Good to see you!
