The Four Cs and The Ten Commandments

We know that not all diamonds are created equally. There is much to learn by way of jewelry education in preparation for the purchase of a coveted and valuable stone – not your A,B,Cs but, the Four Cs which include color, clarity, cut and carat.
The sparkle we know, and love so much, which we associate with diamonds (hence the oft used term sparkler!), is very much contingent upon the cut of the diamond. These facets, when in proper proportion, reflect the light in prismatic fashion, to the eye. There are many cuts/shapes from which to choose, all relative to personal preference.
I’ve recently learned of a new cut – one might say a cut above, or a cut from above on which is inscribed the Ten Commandments! Visible with the use of a magnifying glass, the original Ten Commandments are inscribed on the table facet of the diamond.
This tablet shaped cut is also available on sapphires, in either Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish versions.

What will they think of next. That’s amazing. I’ve heard of little trademarks or whatever in the diamond which were not visible, but this is quite something. If it’s so small I wonder how they etch it on there? Very interesting find.
